The event planners anticipate up to three thousand guests who will experience what is being hailed as becoming a signature annual event in the city and will feature marvelous music, beautiful artwork, delicious food and fabulous wines from around the world. “The City of Santa Clarita is very excited to be a sponsor for this event,” said Jason Crawford, Director of Economic Development. “We look at the All Corked Up Festival to help with boosting the local economy and also bringing tourists in to visit our City.”

The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center’s k-12 Arts Education Outreach Program is the main beneficiary of the event. Their mission is to bring the arts to our local schools by exposing students to various art forms. To help them with this endeavor, All Corked Up will be donating a portion of the proceeds to their program. “The excitement and buzz is growing,” said PAC Managing Director Adam Philipson. “We are very happy to have The International Festival right here at COC, and the additional funds will help our outreach programs.”

All Corked Up is celebrating its fifth year in business and continually strives to give back to the community which is so supportive. In 2006 their first festival held at the Saugus Speedway drew almost 3,000 festival goers and $35,000 was donated to the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center. “We are very excited to host this Festival” states David Schutz, one of the owners of All Corked Up. “People want to have fun, and this is a great way to raise money for our community, while enjoying wonderful wine, beer, food, art and live music with friends and family!”

“Ticket sales are moving quickly,” commented Gary Choppe’, the Festival Director. “Pricing is very affordable at only $50.00 per ticket, which includes ten tasting tickets, wine glass, souvenir tapas tray and chances to win some great raffle prizes.” Choppe’ and the All Corked Up group are planning this to be a fun-filled, four-hour festival!

In addition to over 200 wines that will be available for tasting, a Belgium beer garden has been added to the “international theme.” Attendees will be more than pleased with the variety of restaurants and caterers presenting the perfect complements to the wine and beer. One of those will be COC’s Culinary Arts School, which will be providing the students an opportunity to put what they’ve learned into practice.

In future years, the Festival will grow in magnitude, adding various activities and events. “We are able to grow with the help of sponsors,” said Schutz. “This year we have some amazing contributions from local companies, such as Certified Destruction Services, Julie Sturgeon CPA, SCV Bank, Inside SCV Magazine, The City of Santa Clarita and KHTS 1220AM to name a few.”

All Corked Up is dedicated to making this a great event and have been planning for months. “I am really looking forward to the evening’s musical entertainment,” Choppe’ said. Walfredo Reyes, Jr., former drummer for Santana, Steve Winwood, Fleetwood Mac (to name a few) was enlisted to arrange the world-renowned music entertainment. Performing will be a band by the name of Sinverguenza Music.

The group was formed by percussionist Ramon Yslas and guitarist Tariqh Akoni. Their music consists of a latin-funk-urban mix with a twist: a great energy that is a must-hear experience.” We are also grateful to Santa Clarita Studios and XL5 Productions for providing a world-class stage and lighting for this musical extravaganza.”

Not a passerby will miss the “tented city” at COC on the corner of Valencia Blvd. and Rockwell Canyon. Put October 3rd on your calendar so you don’t miss out on an astonishing evening under the stars. All Corked Up is ready to tantalize your senses!
