Pulchella Update: A "Sunset" Offer & Newhall winery operation

Eve,

We haven’t given you an update on Pulchella lately so I thought I would send you over one. Nate and I have been very busy with this years harvest duties. The day after the Sunset In The Vineyard event (this past 11-8-09 ) will mark the last full day of harvest duties for us. It’s bitter sweet because the long days are over and although we are very tired we really don’t want it to end. When you have a lot of passion doing something, it’s hard to stop once you get into a rhythm.

We both have to thank our wives for supporting us so much over the last few months. As some of you know, we were just blessed with Jack on September 15th. Jennifer and Nate are very close to having a new addition as well.

We are really excited about two new vineyards we are working with this year. Both are located on the westside of Paso Robles. One is very small and we were happy to take all the dryfarmed and head prunes zinfandel grapes the vineyard had to offer. The other one is an award winning syrah vineyard. We were very excited to sign contacts with both of them for years to come.

As you know we recently participated in the All Corked Up wine festival. It was a great event. We met a lot of new people and we poured a lot of wine.

Our first release of our 2006 Creston Ranch Farms Cabernet Sauvignon and our 2007 Paso Robles Syrah are now available to purchase on our website and at All Corked Up. We are currently in negotiations with other Santa Clarita wine bars and one Santa Clarita Restaurant to carry our wines this year. More info to come.

We were very proud to be pouring last Sunday at the Sunset In The Vineyard event put on by the Assistance League. This event represents all of what the Santa Clarita Vintners and Growers Association has to offer. There are many very talented winemakers in this valley and this event is the only one we all gather at to showcase our latest and greatest. Among the over 30 wines poured, we had six wines at the event – including barrel samples of our soon to be released 2008 Janes Ranch Vineyard Zinfandel.

To celebrate the event and the marking of the end of harvest season, Pulchella is offering to the public, 20% off all website orders (up to one case) in the month of November. Just use the promotional code “Sunset” at checkout and receive your discount. Club members will also receive an additional 20% off the club discount by calling us and placing their orders over the phone. Visit our website for more details. www.Pulchella.com.

We are really focusing on finding the perfect location for our tasting room here in Santa Clarita. Additionally, we are looking into the possibility of moving the entire winery operation down into Old Town Newhall. This might be a long shot due to regulations and permits but we are focused on doing everything we can to move the facility into this valley as soon as possible. We live here, we work here and we really want to make wine here. With a little help from the Newhall redevelopment committee and some support from city hall and other very important people in Santa Clarita, maybe our dream of bringing the winery to Santa Clarita is possible?

That’s all for now. We will keep you updated as the year progresses. We have to thank everyone for their amazing support and hope to see you all soon.

CHEERS!!!
