From my post in the Beacon: Local events from today until the Big V-Day

Here is your “All Events” column I write only when events are piling up and deserve their own due space.  So it’s not all about me whine-ing it up…it’s about you and it starts now:

If you’ve missed Republic of Georgia wines you have to give “clay pots” a try on at a tasting on 2/6 at Valencia Wine Co. from 2-5pm.
Brunch at Salt Creek Grille on Sunday, 2/7, is always exceptional, “Hair of the Dog Day” at Wine 661, Happy Hour all day long int the bar at Bella Cucina for Super Bowl Sunday and the “Stimulus Package” at Lee’s Wine Bistro where you buy one glass of wine and the second is a nickel.
Mojitos Wine Pairing Dinner on 2/8.  South American wines paired by Guy Lelarge & cuisine by Rolando Verdecia. I know this will be a top notch dinner.  Call Valencia Wine Company for reservations: 661-254-9300. 
Girls night out at Wine 661 on 2/8 = ladies get 10% off their entire bill from 2-11pm,  Half price on all bottles of wine at Frankies and $3.50 flights at Vino 100.
The Roasthouse has $2 domestic draft beer and $2.50 Margaritas to go with their $1 Tri Tip Tacos on 2/9 (and every Tuesday) from 4-7PM, Wolf Creek offers 40% off wine by the bottle, Vintner’s Cellar has ½ price appetizers when you have two glasses of wine and Salt Creek Grille has half off their top 10 cocktails for ladies night from 5-9pm.

2/ 10 through 2/13 enjoy 20% off any 6 bottles at Whole Foods Valencia.
On 2/10 try 6 Stolpman wines, poured by Stolpman himself, at Wine 661 from 7-9pm.  Women on Wine at Vino 100 Valencia 7-9pm., All Corked Up for Pinot Noir from CA and New Zealand from 6-8pm and 30% off all whites and sparkling bottles at Maru Sushi.
2/11 “Sweethearts for Education Wine Tasting” at Salt Creek Grille from 6-8PM benefits the Castaic Education Organization 661-702-9551, 30% off all red wines by the bottle at Maru Sushi, complementary wine tasting and cigars at Roast House from 6-12am and Bristol Farms has wine and food tasting 6-8pm.
Hold that Valentines Thought
Valentine’s Weekend Celebration at All Corked Up includes a 4-course dinner for two either Saturday 2/13 or Sunday 2/14.
Maru Sushi will be offering their tasting menu with two options: CA cuisine or Japanese.  Each will be 6 courses.

On 2/14 Valencia Wine Company is having desserts from RSVP Catering, Champagne Flights and Champagne Specials, along with live music.  The music will be from 3-7pm, but the other specials will go all day.

In addition to the regular menu Salt Creek Grille will be offering Valentine specials 2/12 through 2/14.  Dinner entree specials are: Surf and Turf, Filet and lobster tail au gratin potatoes, roasted vegetables finished with Bearnaise sauce and Chardonnay Chicken, chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese and herbs served with  roasted vegetables finished with chardonnay cream sauce. On 2/14 they will also have a special Valentine Sunday Brunch for $26.95 per person and will be presenting a flower to all the ladies.

A well-liked restaurant, for it’s welcome bar, food and staff, will also have specials planned for Valentines Day: Route 66 in Canyon Country.

Vino 100 has “Valentine Treats” Wine Tasting 7-9pm on 2/13.
