Pretty Scary Bottle Signing Event with Dan Aykroyd

On May 27, from 5-7 pm, it would appear that one of our favorite Ghostbusters and Vodka launcher Dan Aykroyd, will be signing glass skulls at the Wine House in West Los Angeles.  I found this description of Aykroyd’s reasoning:

Aykroyd, known for his work on Saturday Night Live and in filmsincluding Trading Places, Ghostbusters and Driving Miss Daisy, has beeninvolved with producing and distributing wine and spirits for sevenyears. He recently created Crystal Head Vodka as a result of hisfascination with the supernatural. The super-premium vodka is made withwater from a deep aquifer in Newfoundland, Canada, blended withselected grains for a creamy and slightly sweet finish, and triplecrystal filtered through Herkimer diamonds, which, according to New Agebelief systems, embody positive energy and goodwill. Crystal Head Vodkais available wherever fine wine and spirits are sold.

I love me some Dan Aykroyd, to the point of e-mailing the wine house to see what time “press” might be allowed.  I’m also very much into Vodka tasting and am constantly changing favorites: Jewel of Russia, Belvedere, Imperia, Vox, Ciroq…so I’m up for something new.

What I’m not prepared for is Danny’s interest in the Occult.  I mean Ghostbusters was a huge hit, but it’s fiction.  I’m wondering how many people got interested in the occult from watching this film.  Is Bill Murray really a Meatball or does he always just play one?  Three Faces of Eve never made me think I was Shizophrenic either.

I watched about a minute of his 8 minute YouTube, and I’m not giving you the link as…I didn’t find it very compelling.  So, will my love end here?  I think if the Wine House were to respond I’d feel compelled to go, meet the actor, get my signed skull, review the Vodka.

But, do you think I’d have the nerve to ask him about the occult?  Not a chance.  I don’t need another doll out there, with my image, for yet another person to stick pins through.  Especially one that buys into diamond filtration giving out “energy and goodwill”.

Maybe I should just stick with wine.  And Skull-less Occult-less labels I don’t find Mind-less?

And please, dear reader, if you disagree with me I prefer you comment on my blog than to do the doll thing too.
