Pulchella Update

Greetings cult members, and future members, from your friends at PulchellaWinery.
There’s been a lot going on since we sent out our lastnewsletter, and we are excited to share the news with you.
2009 Vintage to beFeatured at “Sunset in the Vineyard” event
All summer, our winemakers have tended to the 2009 vintageand are super enthusiastic about the overall concentration and quality.  We have some new vineyards, varietiesand big blends in the line-up this year.
We will offer the first barrel samples of our 2009 vintageat the upcoming “Sunset in the Vineyard” event, which will take place in thebeautiful and private Compa Vineyard in Newhall. This event will be held November7 and benefit the SCV community through the philanthropic programs of The AssistanceLeague. Please join us in celebrating Santa Clarita Valley’s Vintners andGrowers Association – our local wine growers and makers — with an afternoon ofhors d’oeuvres, wine tasting and mingling with great wine enthusiasts likeyourself.
We Did It! Tasting Room IsFinally a Reality
For months now, we have relentlessly pursued our dreams ofopening SCV’s first winery tasting room in old town Newhall on MainStreet.  We feel extremelypassionate about being located on Main Street and adding to the redevelopmentefforts. It’s been quite the challenge. First, we ran into some tenant issues. Junecame and went, then September. But we are excited to finally announce that withthe help of the OTNA organization, the city of Santa Clarita and other keysupporters, we have weathered the storm and will be receiving occupancy to thebuilding we have been fighting for within a couple of weeks.  No false alarms this time, we promise…
There’s quite a bit of build out and renovating needed so wewon’t be able to give an official opening date just yet but we can say that itwill be very soon.  The minute wecan lock down a grand opening date, we will let you know.  We will release a couple of completelynew wines, and hors d’oeuvres will be served by the Egg Plantation on openingday. We know you don’t want to miss these spectacular festivities.
The atmosphere of the tasting room will be very comfortable, laid back and relaxing.  There willbe ample seating room and even a possible outdoor seating area to enjoy.  We will offer the usual full flighttasting and wine tasting by the glass as well.  Although there will be tasting charges for the generalpublic, one of the perks of being a “cult” member is that all one-ouncetastings will always be offered free.
In addition to our wine and logo items, we will offer aunique selection of retail items including artisan olive oils, balsamicvinegars and bread dipping sauces.
Going Green with CorkRecycling and more
We strictly believe in recycling and are proud to say that thetasting room will be a green facility — including recycling of all materialand a special partnership with Cork Reharvest.  This is a leading national cork recyclingorganization focused on recycling natural cork and educating the public aboutthe vital role that the Mediterranean cork forests play in the world’secological balance.  Want to be apart of the effort to protect this natural resource?  We will have a drop-off bin in the tasting room for everyoneto recycle their own corks from home as well.
Fall ClubShipment Debut at “Pick Up Party”
We have been delaying the fallclub shipment for good reason. Soon after opening day, we will send out an invitation to all cultmembers for our first wine club shipment “pick up party.”  We thought it would be a great excuseto bring all the club members together in a private setting and celebrate. Theclub shipment will feature some old favorites but also include some completelynew releases that we think you Rhone rangers and blend lovers will truly enjoy.
Thank you all very much for yoursupport and we look forward to pouring you a glass.  That’s all for now but keep your eye out for more updates asthey become available.
CHEERS,
Pulchella Winery.
