Sandy Garber is co-owner of Topanga Vineyards, with her husband Ralph Meyer.
In addition, she is the owner of wine distributorship Garber & Company.
Recently, I had the pleasure of accompanying DiMaggio Washington, owner of The Cellar, to a trade tasting in Culver City of wines distributed and brokered by Garber & Company.

Standouts for me were:
Amavi Cellars (Washington) Syrah 2008: We visited Washington several years ago and I’ve been a big fan of Washington Syrahs since. This one was no exception.
Cambiata Tannat Monterery County 2007: I was introduced to Tannat several years ago through Bonny Doon. Turns out that one of Bonny Doon former winemakers, Eric Laumann, makes a pretty darn good one himself.
Preston Vineyards Syrah-Sirah 2007: Even though this blend only contains 5% Petite, the inclusion of this varietal was really evident on the nose.
