Katie Hamilton Shaffer, co-founder of Toolbox Wine Company (Napa Valley), travels to Vino 100 Valencia on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. for an in-store wine tasting as part of the store’s Meet the Winemaker series. Light appetizers will be served. The cost is $15. Vino 100 is located at 28112 Newhall Ranch Road, Valencia, in the HighRidge Crossing Center at Copper Hill Drive.
Shaffer, along with partners Thrace Bromberger and Nancy Otton, began Toolbox Wine Company with a vision to offer excellent and fun wines, while raising awareness and money for a worthy nonprofit. Toolbox Wine Company donates a portion of proceeds to Habitat for Humanity.
The Napa Valley winery bottled its first 5,400 cases in April 2010, releasing their wines in July 2010. Shaffer will pour Toolbox Wine Company’s new releases at Vino 100’s Meet the Winemaker event: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Cost for the wine tasting is $15 per person.
