WILSHIRE RESTAURANT ANNOUNCES RETURN OF MOTHER’S DAY BRUNCH

A Lavish Menu of Brunch Dishes, Farmers’ Market Buffet and Unlimited Artisanal Champagne Cocktails and Bloody Mary Bar

Wilshire Restaurant  in Santa Monica announces the return of Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 8, 2011, to celebrate one of the most popular dining-out days of the year for mothers and their families.

The Mother’s Day brunch at Wilshire welcomes guests with a lavish buffet of farmers’ market salads and starters including an Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho;  Wilshire’s Antipasto Platter; Seasonal Market Fruits and Berries; Field Greens with Beets, Hazelnuts and Feta; Roasted Red Pepper, Burrata and Arugula with Aged Balsamic; and La Brea Bakery Granola with Yogurt.

Composed entrees from the Wilshire kitchen are made to order.  Among the dishes featured are a classic ‘Steak and Eggs’; Lobster Omelet with Tarragon Crème Fraîche and Caviar; Goat Cheese and Spinach Frittata with Fontina; French Toast with Mascarpone Whipped Cream and Market Berries; Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich with Avocado and Applewood Smoked Bacon with Kennebec Fries; and a Rigatoni with Lamb Bolognese and Fiore Sardo.

Completing the brunch is a sweets buffet featuring many of Pastry Chef Hillary Naishtat’s favorite brunch desserts such as Fresh Fruit Tarts; Mini Cupcakes; Coconut and Caramel Flans; and Over-Sized Childhood Favorite Cookies.

An open bar of unlimited champagne drinks of Mimosas, Bellinis and Champagne Cocktails mixed with fresh fruit purees and juices are offered.  Also available at the bar are Bloody Marys hand-crafted from a selection of three premium flavored vodkas, an array of hot sauces, mixes and fresh vegetable garnishes.  The unlimited bar service is included in the pricing of $65 per guest and $25 for children under 12.  Hours for the Mother’s Day Brunch at Wilshire are 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.; reservations are highly recommended.
