Pulchella Winery Announces new classes in tasting room

Spanish Wines Class – (Friday, May 11) 7pm  $25
As far as bang for your buck, it is hard to beat the wines coming out of Spain. Often very inexpensive, Spanish wine can be very complex and pair with many of the food staples of Southern California. In this Spanish wines class, Sommelier Jeff Prange will introduce you to the wide range of varietals that make Spain great, including Albarino, Tempranillo, and many others. Come and explore the many wine regions of Spain, from Rioja to Priorat. Come party like the Spanish do in this casual yet informative class! Light cheese and crackers will be included.

This is a private event and prepaid (non refundable) reservations are required to attend.  Classes will be held at the tasting room, on our heated patio.  Space is limited, so make your reservations soon.  https://www.wineweb.com/scripts/secure/eventReservation.cfm?w=44010&seq=311

Introduction to Blind Tasting – (Friday, May 25) 7pm $30
Can you tell the difference between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot just by taste? How about a wine that is 5 years old as opposed to 10 years old, just by looking at the wine in your glass? At “Introduction to Blind Tasting,” Sommelier Jeff Prange will give you the basics in the deductive tasting process, the same method Master Sommeliers use around the world when they taste wine blind. By tasting wine analytically, it is possible to determine what is in your glass without being told, and also derive much more pleasure from the wine that you are drinking. Similar to the Tasting Basics class, this relaxed, casual atmosphere will be discussion oriented, and is perfect for wine aficionados and novices alike. Come put your senses to the test, because whoever guesses the most number of wines will receive a free bottle!
