Saying Goodbye to the Mix at Mixers (Their Closing date was 4/14/12)

For fans of Mixers Valencia, I just got this sad message from one of the owners, Louise Castaldo, they are CLOSING:

“So I wanted to tell you before you hear it , Mixers is closing after this week…We are looking to relocate…”  So sad.  For myself, it was one more tale of not getting out enough to frequent a place that I liked.  Heck, Louise even started the “Eve’s Wine on Wednesdays” there where I got a chance to taste wine with her in advance, make some notes for peeps and then advertise the free tasting.  The place had a cool vibe with the beer on tap right at some of the tables, weekly bands and…a classy velvet rope like a real club would use for crowd control.  I’ve always lamented at the lack of things for young people to do out here.  This place was good for the young, and the young at heart.  Read on to see how they will be missed:

How about showing your support and visiting Mixers this *week? And, if you have any positive messages/stories to share, please do:

Maria Gutzeit: So bummed. I love the food….please come to Newhall…we need more good places down in this part of town!

Juli Weger Coennen: Come to Valencia!

That’s Uptown.

Tim Ketchapaw: …so sad to hear the news. I think we will order one of everything on the menu (-:

Linda Lombardi: So sorry….but I know you will find the perfect spot….xoxoxoxoxo

Kat Kombrinck: This is sad! I have not frequented this restaurant as much as some other FB friends, I’m sure. However, when I did, I thought it was really a great place with them doing a terrific job entertaining their customers. It’s sad to see them go.

Heidi Wiedeman: Awwww…had some really fun nights there!

Sharon Lindquist: Yes this is very disappointing…really liked the place.

Joyce Roberts-Stein: Love this place – keep us in the loop for the new location.

Larry McClements: I heard good things, but without a partner that was into this, I sadly never went.

Kathy Foss West: We dined here a couple times and thought the food was very good and the presentation was amazing. Sorry to hear this and I hope they can keep it going in a new location!! Best of luck!

Gloria Stahly: So sorry to hear this.

Eric Baker: A lot of businesses are moving from that location because the rent is sky high there.

Laurie Finkelstein: phooey…keep us informed as to where you end up…

Rosemary Competelli: The Frankies gang will miss you. Thanks for being our after work place to hang. 🙁

Stephen Tako: Took my son there tonight for a farewell dinner.

Patrick McDonald: You guys better return!!! Any idea’s yet? I say in the mall, or maybe take over buy out Game Day, or Bridgeport? Hell take over that old Applebee’s, it’s been vacant for so many years now.
