Wine, Beer & Food Lineup Set for May 18 California Jazz & Wine Festival in Thousand Oaks

Thousand Oaks, Calif.—The wine beer and food lineup is set for third annual California Jazz & Wine Festival in Sunday, May 18 at Conejo Creek Park, North (1379 East Janss Road) in Thousand Oaks. While sipping and munching, festival goers can relax and enjoy tunes from legendary rock/R&B/progressive band Ambrosia and other noted jazz and R&B musicians. The festival runs for 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Presented by the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise, proceeds support high school music programs and other local charities.

            CA_JazzWine_logo-300x93Twenty-one wineries and breweries will be serving this year. “That’s up from last year,” says Nadine Rothermel, festival spokesperson.  “Festivalgoers will have quite a selection to choose from including a number of micro brews.” Pouring will be  Alma Sol Winery, Bean Crazy,  Casa Barranca,  Cielo Farms,  Felten Cellars, Firestone Walker Brewing Co., Golden Star Vineyards, Herzog Wine Cellars, J Hamilton Wines, The LAB Brewing Co., Magnavino Cellars, Opolo Vineyards  Vinemark Cellars, Aldabella Custom Crush Winery & Storage, Sunland Vintage Winery Tasting Room, ViñAlegre Wines,  Panaro Brothers Winery & Tasting Room, Surf Brewery,  Black Hills Farms & Family Vineyards,  Island Brewing Company and Kimmel Vineyards.

            Local restaurants and caterers offering samplings of their gourmet cuisine are AB Caffe Services, I Would Rather Be Baking, Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel, BJ’s Brewhouse & Restaurant, Marmalade Cafe, Fresh Brothers Pizza, Paul Martin’s American Grill, Vom Fass, Holdren’s Steaks & Seafood, The Patio Restaurant, All Things Tea and Niroj Levant Cuisine.

            Ambrosia will be playing its hits including “How Much I Feel,” “Biggest Part of Me,” “Holdin’ On To Yesterday” and “You’re The Only Women.” In addition to Ambrosia, the festival welcomes back Mighty Mo Rodgers, with his classic keyboard jazz performance. New to the stage this year will be Alphonso Johnson, who is a masterful bassist and Chapman Stick artist, as well as the Geyer-Drummond Trio.

            The performance schedule is Geyer-Drummond, 1:00 p.m., Mighty Mo Rodger, 1:30 p.m., Alphonso Johnson, 2:15 p.m. and Ambrosia, 3:15 p.m.
