Belgian Beer Fest – Saturday, October 11, 2014 Santa Clarita Oktoberfest – Saturday, October 18, 2014
Two consecutive beer festivals, The Belgians Are Coming and the Santa Clarita Oktoberfest, are happening this October in the Santa Clarita Valley. Both events will take place in and around an authentic, retro Belgian Spiegeltent, located at the Westfield Valencia Town Center. Dutch for “mirror tents”, Spiegeltents were built around 1900 in Belgium to be used as traveling dance halls. The Cristal Palace Spiegeltent, built in 1947, will be making its debut for the first time ever in the United States
On Saturday October 11, from 6:00pm – 10:00pm, The Belgians Are Coming Belgian Beer Fest will guide guests through the fascinating history of the Belgian brewers and the more recent domestic craft brewers who would like to feature their Belgian style beers, along with a limited selection of wineries. Guest will be able to taste from more than 50 craft beers!
On Saturday October 18, from 7:00 – 11:00pm, the inaugural Santa Clarita Oktoberfest will be a tribute to the original Oktoberfest held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Santa Clarita’s edition will feature a variety of German and German-‐style beers, German foods, music, and games to complete the Oktoberfest experience.
Food will be available for purchase through a variety of food vendors at both events.

Belgian Beer Fest: $59.00 pre-‐sale online or $69.00 at the gate the day of the event Santa Clarita Oktoberfest: $25.00 pre-‐sale online or $30.00 at the gate the day of the event.

A portion of the proceeds of both event will benefit the Repertory East Playhouse, a non-‐profit theatre in Old Town Newhall.
