March 18 – 20, 2016 Weekend Events Kick Off with Zinposium Seminar

Paso Robles, CA – Paso Robles Wine Country’s signature weekend celebrating all things Zinfandel expands its offerings by introducing a new, evening event called Z-Nightcap After Party on Friday, March 18. This night-time event features an intimate walk around tasting with 15 vintners, all featuring Zinfandel. Z-Nightcap After Party follows a day kicked off by Zinposium, a seminar showcasing Zinfandel and Zin blends and a special screening of SOMM: Into the Bottle. Vintage Paso: Zinfandel continues through the weekend of March 18 – 20 with more than 140 individual events at the area wineries.

Vintage Paso: Zinfandel Weekend begins on Friday, March 18 with Zinposium, a Zin-focused seminar in downtown Paso Robles at the Park Ballroom. The seminar will feature a panel of six winemakers that will lead the seated audience through a tasting of Zinfandel and Zinfandel blended wines. The wines selected reflect Paso’s reputation for high quality wine from Chronic Cellars, Epoch Estate Wines, Grey Wolf Cellars, and Tobin James Cellars, as well as two to be determined wineries. Moderated by Master Sommelier Fred Dame, who also stars in the movie SOMM: Into the Bottle, Zinposium will engage and delight, all with delicious Paso Robles wine.

In partnership with the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival, wine enthusiasts are invited to attend a special screening of SOMM: Into the Bottle, following the Zinposium seminar. This documentary takes a behind the scenes look into the wine industry. Tickets are available at www.SLOfilmfest.org.

Following the film screening, Z-Nightcap After Party will take place back in the Park Ballroom (same location as Zinposium). Join 15 Paso wineries for a special walk-around Zinfandel tasting, complemented by a fantastic selection of desserts and jazz by the Ben Wilmore Trio.
