Recipe From a Pal: Katy Milton’s Fig Margarita

Fig Syrup
Cut stem off figs and then 1/4 them
Add 1 cup OJ
Add 2 oz tequila (doesn’t count as the alcohol as this part will be cooked off)
Bring to a boil them simmer 10 mins
Strain syrup into jar (you can keep this in fridge for 2 weeks)
Directions
Add fig syrup, fresh lime juice to taste, splash or two of simple syrup and as much tequila as you want (for desired effect) to a cocktail shaker with crushed ice.
Shake to mix
Pour over ice into sugar or salt rimmed glass
Sit back, relax and enjoy
