The ultimate eating holiday is almost here. It’s time for cooler weather, football and gorging ourselves silly. Actually – I hate football, but I love Thanksgiving!
We’ll get right to it with a Fall Harvest Salad full of roasted squash, apples, dried cranberries and toasted pecans, topped with a creamy Pumpkin Goddess Dressing.
For the centerpiece, a Maple Bourbon Glazed Turkey Breast.
The next dish, Funeral Potatoes, has a decidedly morbid name, but lots of creamy, cheesy, crunchy delicious flavor. This is a great twist on the classic mashed potatoes.
Speaking of twists, a Green Bean Casserole with Crispy Sausage is a must for your holiday table.
Many of you have asked me over the years if I use a slow cooker and the answer has always been a resounding “No!” Perhaps I’ve seen the error of my ways because I’ve got a delicious Creamed Corn that comes together in minutes, slow cooks for a couple of hours and frees up precious stove top real estate.
Next, we’re ditching the pumpkin pie and replacing it with a Pumpkin Cheesecake Lasagna. Layers of mousse-like pumpkin, cheesecake filling and salted caramel rival any holiday dessert you’ve ever had.
Join David, Allen & Kate for cooking class on Saturday, November 19th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM in their kitchen off of Sand Canyon.
Reservations are mandatory, and location, address and directions will be emailed upon receipt of payment. Reservations must be received no later than Thursday, November 17th by 1:00 PM.
