Pomegranate Sangria (made with Beaujolais Nouveau) by Kimberly Charmaine

November 27, 2016 by evebushman

It’s perfect for those friends that say they usually don’t like to drink wine. Nice and friendly on the palate. Great with appetizers.

1 Bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau
1/2 C Triple Sec (Not the pricey one)
1/2 C Brandy (Not the pricey one)
1 Small Bottle Pom Wonderful Pomegranate Juice
1/4 C- 1/3 C Simple Syrup (Equal parts Superfine Sugar and Water, heated til dissolved and cooled)
1-2 Thin-skinned Oranges, sliced horizontally, seeded, pick the best center slices for the pitcher.
1-2 Small Green Apples, cored, sliced horizontally, pick the best center slices for the pitcher.

Directions:

Using a pretty glass pitcher, add liquid ingredients as listed. Taste after adding 1/2 the Simple Syrup to see if you’d like more. Add fruit slices. Refrigerate overnight for next night’s party.
