Saw this on Facebook, a mention of a Basil Drop cocktail that sounded delicious, so I just had to ask about sharing it on my blog:
It is basil, lime juice, simple syrup and vodka. I muddled the basil, added the other ingredients with some ice in a shaker, then poured it all into a glass with some fresh ice.
I got the recipe from the Alchemy Bar on the Carnival cruises. It was one of my favorites during our cruise in April! They also made a strawberry basil variation that was equally delicious!

two leaves of basil
two oz vodka
one oz lime juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
