Prohibition Craft Spirits Launches NULU Straight Bourbon

June 24, 2020 by evebushman

OUISVILLE, KY. (PRWEB) – Prohibition Craft Spirits, or PCS Distilling Company, launched its newest spirit, NULU Straight Bourbon Single Barrel, on Memorial Day, May 25th. NULU Straight Bourbon is the fifth spirit brand in the PCS family of spirits.

Bottled at cask strength, the new NULU Straight Bourbon is unfiltered and single barrel. “That means you get to taste exactly what comes out of the barrel and it’s not easy to find that feature on the shelf,” says Harrison Hyden, Master Distiller with Prohibition Craft Spirits. While there are always experimental batches and new things to offer at the bar and gift shop, the NULU Straight Bourbon completes and compliments the set.

Prohibition Craft Spirits began with the dream to take people on a journey through history. “We want to give everyone the knowledge and history of how liquor has shaped the world and our country,” says Hyden. “Each one of our spirits are a part of this history and we show why they have become what they are from 200 years of American history.”

When branding the NULU Bourbon, the two things PCS set out to do was to educate the public about prohibition and show off the city’s roots. “Our labels are all named after local neighborhoods and we want to show our pride in our city and how it has really been a part of prohibition,” says Hyden. The NULU products are considered the company’s signature brand, which is why, according to Prohibition Craft Spirits Founder and President Keith Hazelbaker, “It was only natural to use NULU.”

Along with other bars and restaurants, Prohibition Craft Spirits has had to face unique challenges over the past couple of months. While they have been selling more sales by the bottle with special gift shop hours, they had to close the tour, bar, and event hall. Adapting to the ‘new normal,’ PCS introduced their own line of hand sanitizer by re-purposing one of their stills to make bulk sanitizer. “We really wanted to get our hand sanitizer out to the public out of necessity.

It is important for everyone to be healthy, and we want to make sure we are a part of the solution,” says Hyden. Prohibition Craft Spirits’ hand sanitizer is priced at cost because of the importance it serves in the community’s well-being.

Set to reopen during Phase 3 of Kentucky’s ‘Healthy at Work’ schedule currently set for July, Prohibition Craft Spirits is looking forward to being able to open the rest of the facility back up. “We feel good [about being able] to keep our patrons safe and comfortable when that happens,” says Hazelbaker. While changing the tour to include more history and give people more exciting things to enjoy, Hyden says, “…everyone just wants to get back to work and showcase our new bourbon!”

NULU Straight Bourbon Single Barrel will be available for purchase in the PCS gift shop and bar, as well as at any of the 4 Total Winelocations throughout Kentucky, with plans to release it to smaller liquor stores over the next few weeks. Soon, PCS will be selling products on their website and are optimistic that this will help with sales at their gift shop. “It has been a long time coming and we are excited to see how the public reacts to its release,” says Hazelbaker.

Dad’s Hat PA Rye Earns Icons of Whisky “International Craft Producer of the Year”

June 15, 2020 by evebushman

BRISTOL, PA. (PRWEB) – Back in February, just over four years after earning the prestigious Craft Whisky of the Year Award from Whisky Advocate Magazine, Dad’s Hat PA Rye Co-owners Herman Mihalich and John Cooper added another significant honor to their resume — the Whisky Magazine Icons of Whisky “America Craft Producer of the Year” Award for 2020. But now, the celebrated Pennsylvania distillers have something even bigger to celebrate.

On March 26th at an awards ceremony that was held remotely from London — virtually via a Facebook live stream to contestants due to the Coronavirus outbreak — Dad’s Hat Rye was named as the “International Craft Producer of the Year” for 2020, beating out regional winners from all over the world.

“We’re elated,” said Mihalich. “We’re so proud to be recognized not only on our home soil, but internationally while sticking to our rye whiskey roots. It’s reaffirming to us and very satisfying to be rewarded — especially as a small producer — after strictly sticking to our Pennsylvania style while continuing to improve over time.”

After winning the U.S. competition on February 11th, Dad’s Hat went head-to-head against their industry peers from all over the world to compete for the global title.

The Icons of Whisky Awards are a celebration of the years of hard work that go into every bottle. From the distillers themselves and brand ambassadors, to tasting room managers, bartenders, mixologists and the industry’s communicators, a great deal of craftsmanship, skill and knowledge are imparted at each stage of the process.

Anthony Denny, Publisher and Managing Editor of Whisky Magazine said: “In an industry that, year after year, continues to improve its game on every level, this year’s Icons of Whisky have been awarded to some truly outstanding companies and individuals, hailing from all over the world.

By their own supreme efforts, they have succeeded not just in earning themselves well deserved recognition, but have demonstrated just how dynamic and innovative the whole industry is. It is a real pleasure to celebrate with them.”

“Obviously we would have loved to have been there, but there are much more important things going on in the world right now, and we were thrilled when the news came in,” said John Cooper. “This really means a lot to us — two old friends who started this business from the ground up in 2012, to build it into an award winning brand with national and international accolades. We’re very proud, and we’re very grateful.”

Located at 925 Canal Street in Bristol, PA, the Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey distillery, which is owned and operated by Mountain Laurel Spirits LLC, carries on a Pennsylvania tradition of whiskey production dating back to the early 1800’s. In addition to Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey, Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey Finished in Vermouth Barrels, and Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey Finished in Port Wine Barrels, MLS also produces Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Straight Rye. Cameron Hughes Introduces New Wine Futures Project: de Négoce

June 10, 2020 by evebushman

NAPA, Calif./PRNewswire/ — Cameron Hughes, co-founder of the eponymously named, e-commerce wine brand, has announced his new wine project, de Négoce [day-NA-go-SHAY]. The brand is modeled on the French “en primeur” system, widely used by well-regarded Bordeaux wineries. The name refers to the time-honored wine trade practiced by those known as négociants. Also called futures, the system is based on offering wines in barrel to consumers before bottling and release. The advantage to consumers is to acquire sought-after wines at attractive pre-release pricing.

“The wine world is transforming itself into something new,” says Hughes, “I’ve had the idea of doing a wine futures project for a long time and I believe now is the time.

People will be looking for great value items, produced in small quantities, that they can buy one case at a time before the wine sells out.”

Hughes co-founded Cameron Hughes Wine with partner Jessica Kogan in 2001, offering wine lovers ultra-premium wines at everyday prices directly via an innovative digital e-comm platform. The company has been at forefront of the digital wine sales revolution and is considered one of America’s top e-commerce wine brands.

Hughes’ new personal project builds on the vintner-grower connections he has cultivated over years, creating hundreds of Cameron Hughes Lot wines. Cameron Hughes, the wine company, was acquired by Vintage Wine Estates in 2017. Cameron Hughes continues as the face of the brand; Kogan is Chief Digital Marketing Officer for Vintage Wine Estates.

Hughes says the advantage to buying futures is the opportunity to obtain limited production wines straight from the barrel at deep discounts. He believes buying wine from his personally curated barrel selections will not only serve as an endorsement of quality, but will allow access to prices not seen since the 1970s (due to record harvest volume and a softening economy). The wines will be sold by the case only, not available at traditional retail, and offered exclusively through the de Négoce website.

The first de Négoce releases include a 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, a 2017 vintage from Napa Valley’s famed Stagecoach Vineyard, and a Napa Valley Coombsville Bordeaux blend, with more selections to come. Pricing is expected to range from $120 to $180 per case. Depending on availability, quantities will average about 1000 cases each. Customers are limited to purchasing one case at a time per person where legal for wine shipments.

Interested consumers can visit the de Négoce website for more information and to join the guest list for an invitation to the first offering.  Hughes says subscribers can opt out at any time, but he’s not worried about that: “I’m confident we’ll have a waiting list once people taste the quality in the bottle.”

About Cameron Hughes and de Négoce
Cameron Hughes is an entrepreneur, vigneron and consultant with Vintage Wine Estates.  He also owns an online meat company, Holy Grail Steak Company.  His new wine brand de Négoce can be found online at www.deNegoce.com.

Vintage Eve Circa 8/2017: Where Was Your Favorite Winery Experience? (Part Two)

May 12, 2020 by evebushman

Last week I asked Facebook pals to share their favorite winery experience, something that made them lifelong fans. I had a few of my own, they had many more, so this is the second group of answers. Feel free to email me if you also have a memorable winery experience to share: Eve@EveWine101.com

Your Favorite Winery Experiences

Denise C. – Well, you know we love Paso Robles……I won’t say how many wine clubs we belong to there. But, like another comment on here we had to buy a big wine fridge and it still doesn’t hold all of it. Lol. But, one of our favorites is Pear Valley! Their wine is good and not too expensive and the views are amazing!

Annette S. – Palmaz Vineyard in Napa. Unbelievable winery and phenomenal wine.

Larry M. – Merry Edwards. Wonderful Pinot Noir up in the Russian River Valley. We were brought into a private room where our own dedicated sommelier taught us about the terroir that makes the Russian River Valley unique. He then guided us through tastings of all of their current offerings. Everything was laid out beautifully with a new glass for each wine. Totally classy.

David P. – Being a Napa boy (born and raised), I have a few. My #1 would have to be getting married at V. Sattui in St. Helena back in 1993. The wedding ceremony was out on the lawn and the reception was in the cellar.

Buttonwood Farm and Winery.

Beverly A. – When my husband and I went to Rosenthal winery tour with Ian Blackburn years ago, absolutely beautiful. Then again on the Wine101 with Ian to Karen Steinwachs/ Buttonwood Farm Winery had BBQ lunch, to name a few.

Kathie W. – My two favorites in Los Olivos – Carhartt Wine Tasting Room and Saarloos and Sons. Fabulous wine, and they both make you feel like family. Been members for years and always look forward to sharing the experience!

Mike B. – Del Dotto. My fav Napa winery. It’s the dark and musty cave experience. Cool atmosphere. Pourers are informative, entertaining, and funny. All tastings out of the barrel. Just very, very special. It’s a must-go-to every time I’m in Napa. His other tasting experience, what I call the “Italian” one,” is nice, but it’s the dark and musty I keep returning to. Would love to meet Del Dotto. I remember his infomercials from the 80s.

Michael and Lori F. – We cannot put to writing how special our tour of Robert Foley was… Lets just say his passion for music is just as strong as his passion for wine!

And I stopped into the tasting room at Quady up in Madera… Out in the Middle of nowhere (so it seemed). I can no longer remember the name of the assistant winemakers who led my tour and tasting of one, but we spent 4 hours tasting EVERY wine and port in their current release portfolio; barrel tasting dessert and port wines still aging and not yet ready to be released; and opening a half dozen bottles of the winery’s library collection of vintage port wines.

As an added bonus they had just finished their first release of “unaged” Brandy distilled from their Orange Muscat Wine…. They would not call it Grappa because it was distilled from the wine and did not include the “pressings” in the distillation… If you like Grappa this was fantastic in its lack of rough edges and smoothness.

I left the winery with about a case of wine and Brandy I purchased… He also gave me the opened library wines and some of the current release wines to take home telling me that there is not enough foot traffic for those bottles to last till the next visitor arrives!

That was a fantastic memory indeed!

Justin G. – I grabbed 2 of the last 1975 vintage Colheita from Kopke while in Porto. My birth year.

Vicki H. – Mallow Run Winery in Indianapolis, is a fun place to enjoy music and wine. Especially when it is Beach Boys or Beatle day.

Terri S. – Broken Earth Winery in Paso Robles. Award-winning wines (they darn near swept the Central Coast Wine Competition), friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent pricing, Thirsty Thursday wine specials and a great picnic spot on the way into town on Highway 46 East!

Michael D. – Many years ago we took the Amtrak Coast Starlight to Seattle. They did a wine tasting on board and one of the wines we really liked was from a winery that we had never heard of – Del Dotto. A year or two later I had a business trip up at the Silverado Resort in Napa and on our way to the hotel we passed Del Dotto. Taking the tour of the caves and tasting the same grape in different types of oak was one of our favorite memories from that trip. We ordered several bottles from the actual casks that we tasted and still have some cellared to this day!

Tom H. – Frank Family in Napa the day after I proposed to Carole they treated us great…lots of good wine!

John M. – Jean-Pierre Gaussen in the Bandol area of Southern France. It was a cold day in December 2002 and my then Fiancé and I were exploring the area and stumbled on to this tiny vineyard of gnarled Mourvèdre vines. When we arrived at the Cave no one was there. Finally a a gentleman still in his pajamas peered down at us from a second story balcony and told us to come back in an hour because it was his lunch hour. We came back an hour later and the same man still in his pajamas opened the cellar and poured his wines for us to taste.

It turned out the man was Monsieur Gaussen himself. We spent the next 4 hours talking and drinking wine with him with subjects ranging from the history of the Mourvèdre grape to French politics all in broken English and broken French. In a few days my wife and I along with our 10 and 8 year old kids will be visiting this tiny vineyard again. For us wine lovers a special wine is a time capsule, a message in a bottle, the very notion of terroir itself.

Breaking Bourbon’s “Hudson Confidential” Hillrock Estate Distillery Single Barrel Pick Takes Home Gold at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition

May 7, 2020 by evebushman

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (PRWEB) – Breaking Bourbon’s Single Barrel Club took home a gold medal at the 2020 San Francisco World Spirits Competition for their single barrel pick Hillrock Estate Distillery’s “Hudson Confidential.” “We knew that we had selected a special barrel for our Single Barrel Club members the moment we tasted it. We’re proud and excited that the judges agreed,” said Jordan Moskal, co-founder of Breaking Bourbon.

Hudson Confidential is a 117.4 proof single barrel Hillrock Estate Solera Aged Bourbon finished in an Oloroso sherry cask. “Finishing in a 20 yr old Oloroso sherry cask adds depth to the flavor profile, but is subtle enough that many people are surprised when they hear that it’s finished in a sherry cask,” according to Jeffrey Baker, co-owner of Hillrock Estate Distillery.

Breaking Bourbon’s Single Barrel Club focuses on bringing world class barrel picks to its members. By partnering with online retailers, Single Barrel Club members get exclusive access to Breaking Bourbon barrel picks and can purchase bottles that they may not otherwise be able to access in their region. “This honor is a true testament of the high level of quality picks that we are able to deliver to our members,” said Nick Beiter, co-founder of Breaking Bourbon.

Each Breaking Bourbon single barrel pick is given a name that represents the backstory of the particular barrel selected. “For Hudson Confidential, we wanted the name to focus on what we set out to do: Shine light on a great, but often lesser known distillery. We understand those who know about Hillrock Estate Distillery may want to keep this hidden gem a secret. But, we felt that we’d be remiss to not share our experience with this remarkable craft distillery with our club members,” said Eric Hasman, co-founder of Breaking Bourbon. Co-owner of Hillrock Estate Distillery, Cathy Franklin says, “Hillrock was thrilled to work with the three founders of Breaking Bourbon in choosing this special single cask because they are true whiskey connoisseurs and have such developed palates. They share our passion for creating great whiskey.”

Hudson Confidential Tasting Notes:

‍The nose is nicely expressive with bursts of floral aromas, dark fruit, and candied cherries notes that’s punctuated with seasoned oak. The palate is sweet to the tongue, with raspberries, apricots, and raisins. It finishes with a bump of rye spice, followed by oak and plum. Overall an excellent sipper that features a ton of flavor delivered with elegant complexity.

Inglenook’s New Cave United with Existing Cave

April 25, 2020 by evebushman

RUTHERFORD, California – Francis Ford Coppola, proprietor of Inglenook, is pleased to announce that a significant milestone has been reached in the expansion of Inglenook’s cave network. The past February the tunneling crew broke through the wall that separated the existing labyrinth of caves from the new cave. The remarkable expansion of Inglenook’s caves, which currently house the wines as they age in barrel, started early last year during the celebration of Inglenook’s 140thanniversary. The new cave will accommodate the addition of 120 new insulated stainless steel fermenting tanks, each dedicated to one of Inglenook’s 120 nuanced growing areas within the winery’s organically-farmed vineyards. The project is expected to be completed later this year, in time for the 2020 harvest.

“Along with my family, I am so pleased that we have reached this important milestone in the expansion of Inglenook’s cave,” said Coppola.

“We take our stewardship of this esteemed winery very seriously. Since it was founded in 1879 by Gustave Niebaum, Inglenook has been renowned for its innovation, leadership, creativity and commitment to quality. We are dedicated to further elevating Inglenook’s stature with this vast cave expansion, led by our director of winemaking, Philippe Bascaules.”

From Gustave Niebaum to John Daniel, Jr. to Francis Ford Coppola, Inglenook’s three principal stewards have shared a strong sense of vision and an unwavering passion to create a wine estate that hearkens back to the European tradition, producing original, distinctly Napa wines that rival the best in Europe.

“Having 120 tanks helps us increase our knowledge of our organically-farmed vineyard and each growing area,” said Bascaules.

“We’ll have a lot of capacity to vinify and separate the grapes. All of the tanks will be automated, too, which will allow us to experiment with multiple pump-overs. Additionally, we can experiment with extraction and we have infinite possibilities, which will lead to even more complex wines.”

Inglenook has a rich history of leadership in the wine industry. Many of founder Gustave Niebaum’s innovations at Inglenook became industry standards: Inglenook instituted the first sterile bottling process in Napa; it was the first to separate field debris from grapes; Inglenook planted Napa’s first Merlot in 1882; and Inglenook built the first gravity-flow winery in 1887, which was considered one of the greatest winery structures in the Western Hemisphere at the time.

About Inglenook
Founded in 1879 by Gustave Niebaum as Napa’s first estate winery, Inglenook boasts an illustrious heritage, a renowned legacy of innovation and an outstanding portfolio of award-winning wines that have defined and established Napa as a world-class wine region. It remains the largest contiguous estate on the famed Rutherford Bench, Napa Valley’s finest area for producing spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon.

The iconic Inglenook chateau was first constructed in 1887, and faithfully restored in 1997.  Befitting the grandeur of the Inglenook estate, the chateau welcomes guests for seated tastings and special events. Experiences include tours of the Chateau, the Infinity caves, the vineyards, barrel tastings and culinary offerings under the direction of Winery Chef Alex Lovick who expertly pairs the wines with the seasonal, organic bounty of the expansive organically-farmed estate, culinary garden and orchards.

Grown in Los Angeles: Eve Gets A Taste of LA Wine

March 13, 2020 by evebushman

What a treat! Tasting from only four wineries – that specialize in making wine from LA County grapes! I knew three of the four already from past tastings, but this time it was a true focus on what they can do as we compared each. Below is the invite, wine list (hyperlinks go to their Facebook pages) and my notes. Photos are here.

Jasper Dickson at the helm of his winery. (Co-owner Amy Luftig Viste not pictured.)

Invitation

Come join The Los Angeles Vintner’s Association at Angeleno Wine Company …for an extraordinary tasting of locally grown, Los Angeles wine! We’ve gathered four amazing local wineries, and assembled a line-up of 10+ incredible wines, all grown right here in Los Angeles County. Come meet the winemakers, and discover the true potential of local wine as you taste your way through this diverse collection of styles, single varietals, and blends.

Participating wineries include: Angeleno Wine Company, Acri Wine Co, Byron Blatty Wines, and Cavaletti Vineyards.

Acri Wine Company – This was a new winery for me to try. All were barrel samples but showed great fruit and potential. Especially the 2019 Sangiovese, also from the Antelope Valley. My husband liked the depth in the 2018 Syrah and likewise thought it would cellar nicely.

2018 Syrah, Antelope Valley

2019 Zinfandel Barrel Sample, Antelope Valley

2019 Sangiovese, Antelope Valley.

Angeleno Wine Company – Our host winery for the event, about 60 minutes away and definitely worth a visit. Besides the list below I also snagged a sample of their chilled orange wine – made orange by skin contact with these Spanish/Portuguese grapes I was unfamiliar with: Treixadura, Godello and Loureiro. These same varietals were also in the White Field Blend I favored, with the addition of Albariño.

2017 White Field Blend, Sierra Pelona Valley

2018 Bike Path Red (also served a little chilled, blend of Tempranillo and Grenache) Sierra Pelona Valley

2017 Grenache, Sierra Pelona Valley (This is from the Alonso Family Vineyards. They also make their own label, and by “they” I mean Juan Alonso. He has made his own wine for many years, and is the longtime owner of Le Chene.)

Byron Blatty Wines – Mark Blatty was there charming the guests, as usual, suffice it to say he had the busiest table. My favorite wine in his lineup was the 2016 Evenfall Red (I jokingly call it my namesake!) blend of Tempranillo and Petite Sirah. His Syrah and Malbec garnered a lot of attention, and an extra special pour of his soon-to-be released proprietary red – only 23 cases – of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot, was powerful! Stay tuned for that release. I predict this to be my next favorite from Byron Blatty.

2016 Agenda Syrah, Los Angeles County

2016 Evenfall Red, Los Angeles County

2017 Pragmatic Malbec, Los Angeles County

Cavaletti Vineyards – With a tasting room in nearby Moorpark, this is a winery to visit. Besides the wines listed below owner/winemaker Patrick Kelley also shared a 2018 Nebbiolo. I enjoyed them all, with special nods to the Cab and Nebbiolo, really fine fruit that will develop with a little more aging. I bought two of his Rose, a blend of Tempranillo and Grenache, as it was very good and the price was only about $25 per bottle.

2018 109 Mile Rosé, Los Angeles County

2018 Swayze (not Patrick) Grenache, Antelope Valley

2018 Whispering Bells Cabernet Sauvignon, Malibu Coast

HEALDSBURG, Calif., /PRNewswire/ — Wine Road, Northern Sonoma County presents their 43rd Annual Barrel Tasting, offering two weekends of barrel sampling and the opportunity to purchase “futures” at over 80 wineries. The event takes place in the beautiful Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys, and is the perfect way for visitors to explore much of Sonoma County, March 6 – 8 and March 13 – 15, 2020 from 11am to 4pm.

During the event, weekend wine tasters may purchase “futures,” essentially a chance to buy, often at a discount, a wine that is still aging in the barrel now, then come back to the winery (or have the wine shipped) when the wine is bottled, typically within 12-18 months. Many wines are so limited, buying futures is the only chance to purchase them. In addition to sampling wine from the barrel, most wineries also provide pours of a limited number of current release wines.

“Barrel Tasting is an educational weekend where you learn about the work winemakers put into their wines after harvest, but before the wine is bottled,” says Beth Costa, Executive Director of Wine Road. “This is your opportunity to invest in those hard to find, limited production wines, by buying futures.”

The event traces its origins to 1977 when the nine founding Wine Road wineries were searching for a way to bring visitors to the region during March, a typically slow month in the hospitality industry. The idea was hatched when they realized that much of their cellar work in the month of March was related to Barrels. Even 43 years later the event continues to be successful, which speaks to its appeal amongst wine lovers.

Tickets to the event can be purchased via Eventbrite and are $60 for the weekend, $45 for Sunday only, and $5 for designated drivers.  Tickets to the Winemaker Breakfasts on Saturday, March 7 and March 14 are $20 and offer a casual morning of Q&A along with breakfast.

Tequila Partida Introduces First Nationally Available Limited-Release Single Barrel Reserve Reposado

February 22, 2020 by evebushman

NEW YORK (PRWEB) – Tequila Partida is excited to announce the limited release of their first nationally available Single Barrel Reserve bottling, showcasing 30 unique barrels of the world’s highest-rated Tequila Reposado. In December 2019, Tequila Partida Reposado was awarded the highest score for all Reposados in Ultimate Spirits Challenge’s “Top 100 Spirits of 2019,” claiming ninth overall spirit in the world. Available on the market beginning January 2020, the Single Barrel exemplifies Partida’s commitment to honor 100% Blue Weber Agave and crafting an award-winning agave-forward Tequila. Tequila Partida is one of the few remaining authentic estate-bottled premium Tequilas made in the heart of Mexico’s historic Tequila region.

Tequila Partida’s Maestro Tequilero José Valdez nosed over one hundred maturing barrels to identify 30 barrels that featured the most complexity and depth. Aged a minimum of six months in white American oak with medium char, Valdez created three separate tasting profiles for each barrel: Ligero, Medio and Intenso. Each profile offers different levels of color intensity, flavors and aromas while staying true to the agave.

“The Single Barrel is a unique expression of our Reposado and meets the high standards of Tequila Partida our consumers expect,” said Maestro Tequilero José Valdez. “We sampled 108 barrels twice—at three months and again at five months—and the results were 30 exceptionally unique barrels, separated into three agave-forward and delicious tasting profiles.” Valdez then numbers and signs each bottle for the final touch.

All three flavor profiles explore the versatility of the award-winning Reposado: Ligero offers notes of fresh agave, maple syrup, toasted oak and caramel; Medio provides flavors of cooked agave, vanilla and butter; and Intenso, dried fruit, nuts and coffee.

The Single Barrel Reserve will have a limited nationwide availability at a suggested retail price of $54.99 per bottle. There are currently only 30 barrels available. Edrington handles sales, marketing and distribution for Tequila Partida.
