THE LA Phil Announces Complimentary Market Tastings Series Schedule at The Hollywood Bowl

Complimentary Wine Tastings on Wednesdays and Sundays, Featuring Artisanal Winemakers, Sommeliers, Beer Professionals and Importers in the Plaza Marketplace

Wine and Beer Talent are Hand-Selected by James Beard Award Winner Caroline Styne, Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine’s Sommelier and Wine Director

LOS ANGELES —The LA Phil announces the return of the Market Tasting Series for the 2025 summer season at the Hollywood Bowl. This Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine offering allows visitors to participate in wine tastings hand-selected by Caroline Styne, named Outstanding Restaurateur of the Year 2018 by the respected James Beard Foundation.

“Discovering and introducing new wines and craft beers to our guests at the Hollywood Bowl is one of my favorite projects. Having complimentary tastings in the Marketplace before the concerts is a fun and delicious way for all our guests to experience our wine program,” states Caroline Styne.

The complimentary wine-tasting series begins with the Roots Picnic on Sunday, June 8, 2025, in the Plaza Marketplace at the Box Office Plaza. The series continues through Sunday, September 28, 2025, with the John Legend concert. Offered one hour before the doors to the venue open, the tastings provide guests the opportunity to meet face to face with vintners and wine professionals from Habit Wines, Skurnik Wines, Grapevine Wine Company, Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant and Elevage Wines among others. Wines and beers featured in the tastings are available for purchase at the Plaza Marketplace and other select Hollywood Bowl Food + Wine locations.

Note that ticket holders who use the Hollywood Bowl Park & Ride or shuttle bus can show their ticket to receive 20% off purchases at the Hollywood Bowl Plaza Marketplace, including wine purchases.

About the Hollywood Bowl

One of the largest natural amphitheaters in the world, with a seating capacity of nearly 18,000, the Hollywood Bowl has been the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since its official opening in 1922 and plays host to the finest artists from all genres of music. For a century, the Bowl has been a Los Angeles County public park, operated in collaboration with the LA Phil to welcome visitors from all over the world. It remains one of the best deals anywhere in Los Angeles; to this day, $1 buys a seat at the top of the Bowl for many classical and jazz performances. This past February, the Hollywood Bowl was also awarded the Outdoor Concert Venue of the Year award at the 35th Annual Pollstar Awards, an honor bestowed 16 previous times, as well as Top Amphitheater prize at the 2017 and 2018 Billboard Touring Awards. For millions of music lovers across Southern California, the Hollywood Bowl is synonymous with summer. hollywoodbowl.com
