Lorimar Winery’s tasting room is located at 42031 Main Street next to the Old Town Temecula Community Theater in a beautiful brick building, just a few steps off Front Street. It offers a relaxing atmosphere with premium wine and a friendly well-trained staff.
Co-owner Mark Manfield has a special invitation for everyone, “Please stop by and see how the place turned out. We are very proud of it and want to share it with everyone.” Lawrie Lipton, also a co-owner promises, “Mark and I have special signature pens on hand and are willing to sign as many bottles as you purchase.” That’s a very good thing, as the wine is amazing, the bottles are beautiful (especially the signature note bottles) and the guys are willing to spend the whole day getting to know their community.
The Lorimar Story
A couple of years ago, brother-in-laws Lawrie Lipton and Mark Manfield began realizing a long time dream, to own a winery. The two always shared an appreciation for wine and in the early days traveled to wineries and vineyards in California where they visited tasting rooms, learned about grapes and sampled wines. They settled on Temecula Valley as their choice to fulfill their dream.
While their Tuscan-style winery is being built a few miles away in Temecula Wine Country, the tasting room is open and bursting with activity in a charming brick building located in the center of Old Town Temecula at Front & Main Street. Complimenting the Lorimar tasting room experience are numerous close by boutique shops, antique galleries, live theatre, and world-class restaurants.
The handcrafted wines are approachable with a fruit forward style that showcases clean crisp fruit. “Our renowned winemaker Mike Tingley creates wines using the best of the old world ways combined with today’s more advanced technology, producing delicious varietiels and interesting blends” explains co-owner Lawrie Lipton.
The tasting room provides a friendly and unique environment to enjoy premium wines. “There’s always something going on at the store- wine specials, wine tasting events, music, or classes” says Mark Manfield. “We’ve created a special place for people to stop in, relax, and enjoy great wines.” The knowledgeable and friendly staff is always willing to answer questions about wine, lead guests through a structured tasting or just pour guests a great glass of wine.
