Pine Mountain Club to Host

Annual Oktoberfest Labor Day Weekend

            OnSaturday and Sunday, September 4 and 5—Labor Day Weekend—the Pine Mountain ClubProperty Owners Association (PMCPOA) will host its 35th AnnualOktoberfest.  The festivities beginat 11 a.m. each day in PMC’s Lampkin Park, just west of the Village Center,with entertainment and activities to please the entire family, including musicand dancing, a variety of art and craft vendors, plenty of food and drink, andgames for all ages. 
Performers include“The Wonderelles,” a classic ‘50’s and 60’s review, “The Kings of ClassicRock,” featuring musicians from some of rock’s classic bands, “Yesteryear,” anda Sunday “jam” featuring local musicians.
            Admissionis free, and parking is abundant near both the park and village, with a shuttleavailable for transport between village merchants and park activities.
           Forthe kids, giant inflatables and craft activities will be available at the park.  Great food, from German salads to succulentsausages, Mexican and Thai/Chinese cuisine, barbequed tri-tip, and a beer andwine garden offer something for everyone.       
There arelog-sawing and nail-driving contests, great door prizes and much more, all setin a picturesque mountain community where fall is in the air. Admission isfree. No coolers or outside food or beverages permitted.
PMC RecreationCommittee Chair Mike DeAngelis, said, “We invite everyone to come and sharethese two great days with us in our beautiful mountain community, where the airis clear, the temperature moderate, the food is delicious, and there isentertainment for all.  It’s agreat way to end the summer.”

The Liquor List: 

Beers:  Sam Adams Oktoberfest, Hollywood Blonde (2 types), Sierra Nevada, Miller Lite, MGD, and Coors Light.

Wines:   Mountain View Chardonnay, Beringer White Zinfandel, Bogel merlot and cabernet, Pepperwood Pinot Noir, and for those for whom wine is wine, Oak Glenn Burgundy and Chablis (boxed).  

Other:  Mike’s Hard Lemonade.
