What I found at Vom Fass Westlake: Story in Photos (Full story is in the WestRanchBeacon.com on 10/29.)

Cask strength single malt Scotch, Irish Whiskey, Cognac, etc. at the newly open “Vom Fass” (Translated from German means, “From the Cask”).  We could taste up to three for free, then $1 per taste not to exceed 10 less than one ounce pours.  (Yes they do parties!)
Liqueurs in flavors that ranged from fruit to creamy.
Grappas, Vodka, Gin, etc.
More spirits – these look like the fruit infused ones.
The Absinthe Fountain.  I would like to order one to have it but, not sure I’d used it enough.  Cool idea for a party.  (A woman I met there said her son had one and enjoyed having the drink every night.)
Pouring 3 parts water over sugar cube, slowly, over one part Absinthe.  The color lightens as the water does its job.  Then the gentleman, one of two chefs employed at Vom Fass, stirred it up and poured the mixture into the little glasses you see on your left.  I didn’t finish mine but the flavor was reminiscent of Sambuca, an anise liqueur.  And the heart-warming effect they said I would have was quickly abated by a large glass of water.
