Knowledgeable vintners hailing from California to Australia will be on hand to discuss the finer points of the business and will present some of their finest wines for sampling. Some of the vineyards represented at the Wine Festival will include Silver Oak, Cakebread, Tobin James, Layer Cake, Opolo Vineyards, Far Niente and Dr. Loosen Wines. As a complement to the wines, local restaurants and caterers will pair regional foods with the vintages.
Tasting tickets will be available for sale and can be exchanged for food, wine or in the beer garden. Throughout the evening, the event will feature music from world famous musicians, art exhibits and products from several high-end retail stores.
Those who attend the festival will have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets during the event and will be given the chance to win high-end prizes such as magnums of wine.
Whether a novice or a connoisseur, all wine lovers attending the International Wine Festival, which will be located in parking lot #7 on the corner of Rockwell Canyon Road and Valencia Boulevard, will have the opportunity to learn about wines in an informative and supportive environment while helping a much-needed arts and education outreach program for local schools.
“The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center’s new K-12 Arts Education Outreach program is pleased to be the beneficiary of this year’s International Festival,” said PAC Managing Director Adam Philipson. “The outreach program will serve the growing needs for arts education in our valley and will impact the lives of nearly 10,000 children this year.”

As you know, Wm. S. Hart Park is one of the oldest and most important attractions we have in Santa Clarita. Each year thousands of school children and members of our community tour the mansion and park grounds free of charge. This event supports the park and its herds of buffalo and deer, the farm animal zoo in addition to other park attractions.
August 8th at 6:00
Cost $40. includes dinner by Rattler’s, wine, tour and movie
This year we will be holding the event at Hart Hall with it’s fantastic garden setting. Dinner will be served on the patio and the silent movie Sand will be shown. Sand features Bill’s favorite horse Fritz in a fast riding, leaping from cliffs into the river, train robbing and the winning of the sweetheart in the end, silent movie accompanied live by the Leasebreakers Jug Band!
Tours will be given of the Ranch House and the new animal exhibit. Built in 1910 the Ranch House was sometimes used as a location for Hart’s films. Now the Ranch House showcases original furnishings, memorabilia and riding equipment used in his movies. From 1921 to 1924, before La Loma de Los Vientos (the mansion) was completed, Hart and his sister Mary Ellen sometimes stayed at the Ranch House. The new animal exhibit includes turkeys, chickens, pigs, cows, mules, ducks and geese. The new exhibit enclosures where just completed last month and this is an opportunity to see the newest addition to the park.
The silent auction will feature a Caribbean vacation, two nights at Harrah’s Laughlin, tickets for the following: Pat Benetar at COC, Disneyland, Magic Mtn., Clippers, Universal Studios. Gift baskets include Paula Deen, Barefoot Contessa, Cesar Milan and many others. Also gift certificates to many local restaurants including Salt Creek and Don Cuco’s.
