Very soon I will be in Napa Valley – though I won’t give you the exact dates lest you find the time – and desire – to pilfer my wine cellar while I’m gone! This may very well be my 20th time to the Napa – Sonoma – Calistoga area. But for the first time, we have reservations at some places that I’ve never been to before, and a few that I learned about in last June’s Wine Spectator for their stellar locations and highly rated wines: Castello DiAmorosa, Phifer Pavitt Winery, Terra Valentine, Old Bridge Cellars, Revana Family Vineyard, HALL, Round Pond Estate and Paloma Vineyard. (And that’s just a start.) At the end of each day I will rest in a king-sized bed surrounded by…the scents of…wait for it…it’s not a Napa Cab…volcanic ash mud?
