From Facebook to You: Farm to Table Dinner with Windrose Farms and Tablas Creek

I wanted to let you all know that Ammo in Hollywood is hosting a wonderful Farm to Table dinner event on Aug. 30 featuring Windrose Farms and Tablas Creek Wines that is truly an evening not to be missed. AMMO, Hollywood’s standout dining destination for farm-to-table cuisine, has partnered with California’s best farmers to present an exciting seasonal series of Farm-to-Table Dinners. These intimate dinners draw together slow-food enthusiasts and restaurant industry insiders for a rare opportunity to savor the finest in local produce and engage with the farmers who grow it. Each dinner will include a multi-course prix fixe inspired by the featured farm’s most spectacular bounty of the season, with optional wine pairings for each course.

For the summer, AMMO welcomes Windrose Farms and Tablas Creek Vineyards, located in San Luis Obispo County. Windrose has been a fixture in the organic farming community since 1993, and sells their choice produce to the area’s top restaurants and chefs. On their relatively small 50-acre farm, owners Bill and Barbara Spencer produce everything from heirloom tomatoes, onions, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, and many varieties of greens and fresh herbs. They are also known for their melons, apples and stone fruit.

Next-door neighbor Tablas Creek Vineyards produces award-winning organic wines, following the centuries-old Châteauneuf du Pape tradition of blending chosen varietals, which produces wines that are more complex, better balanced, and richer than single varietal wines.
