The WSET Wine Education Class
DiMaggioWashington, General Manager and Wine Educator at All Corked Up Santa Clarita,is offering the only WSET extensive sommelier training in the city and localenvirons to both beginners and wine aficionados. The world renowned WSET(Wine & Spirit Education Trust) classes were founded in 1969 to providehigh quality education and training in wines and spirits. WSET classes are thefoundation for anyone wishing to be a Sommelier. All students will receive aWSET Certification that is recognized worldwide. No wine training orprerequisite education is required before taking WSET.
Forbeginners concerned about taking this class, the next session will be attendedby local wine writer Eve Bushman (SCV Elite, West Ranch Beacon and Eve’s Wine101)  who promises to “study alongwith the rest of the wine peeps, study and share the journey” in her columns.This may be the last chance to see Eve as she jokingly threatens to get a jobas a sommelier on Princess cruises when she passes the class. 

WSET Level Certification – $675/ person 50% deposit required at time ofregistration – Price Includes: Wine, Materials and Exam, two eight-hourclasses, 9-6pm with an hour break for lunch, will be Sundays 9/19 and 9/26 atAll Corked Up. “Helloto all interested in the WSET wine program. There are several internationallyknown institutions providing serious wine course programs. The Court ofMasters, the ISG and the WSET (Wine Spirit Education and Trust) out of London.These programs provide an avenue to become a Sommelier. There are variousSommelier levels. A Sommelier, a Certified Sommelier,an Advanced Sommelier and a Master Sommelier and there is also a Master ofWine. I’m offering an Intermediate Level for the WSET, this is a 16 hourprogram with a recommended (32 hours home study) and a 1 hour exam. You willalso taste through 48 wines from 12 countries of Regions. At some point you maychoose to apply for taking the Certified Sommelier Exam (hosted by the Court ofMasters) or continue with your education for the Advance level and MasterLevel.
