LODI, Calif., – Northern California’s beloved Valentine’s Day experience returns to the Lodi wine region for its 28th year on February 15 and 16, 2025. The weekend promises to be a delightful celebration of love, sensational Lodi wines, delicious local chocolate, and the Lodi wine community.
“Lodi Wine & Chocolate Weekend is more than just a celebration of wine and chocolate; it’s an experience that truly embodies the best of Lodi,” stated Stuart Spencer, Executive Director of the Lodi Winegrape Commission.” The event brings together our community; showcases our region’s world-class wines; and supports ongoing programs in marketing, education, research, and sustainable viticulture.”
Weekend guests can indulge in a wine and chocolate adventure during Winery Tours on Saturday, February 15, as they embark on a journey between more than 30 participating wineries. To plan the perfect day of tastings, guests should check out the participating wineries list for details such as sweet and savory treats, live entertainment, local vendors, and more.
The experience continues February 16 with the crowd-favorite Sunday Winemakers Toast, a showcase of some of Lodi’s top white, rosé, and sparkling wines. Held at the beautiful Wine & Roses boutique hotel, this event will feature delectable small bites crafted by talented chefs to perfectly pair with the delicious wine offerings from Lodi vintners. And of course, the event’s official chocolate partner, CocoTutti Chocolates, will be on hand to provide samples and sweet treats for purchase.
Tickets for both events are now on sale at lodiwineandchocolate.com. Tickets to Saturday Winery Tours are $75 per person. Ticket purchase is not required for designated drivers attending Saturday’s event. Tickets to Sunday Winemakers Toast are $95 per person, including designated drivers. All attendees, including designated drivers, must be 21 years of age or older to participate in weekend events.
Spencer concluded, “We always say ‘there’s something great happening in Lodi’ and this event is one example. I encourage people to join us for this celebration and experience our amazing wine region firsthand.”
Founded in 1997 by the Lodi Winegrape Commission with the goal to promote and elevate the region and its wines, Lodi Wine & Chocolate Weekend has welcomed more than 100,000 guests and generated over $2 million to support programs directly benefiting the region’s winemaking community.

About the Lodi American Viticultural Area (AVA)
A historic winegrowing region since the 1850s, Lodi is perfectly situated 40 miles south of Sacramento and 90 miles east of San Francisco. Lodi’s Mediterranean climate and distinct soils allow its growers to cultivate more than 130 winegrape varieties, making Lodi the most diverse winegrowing region in the United States. The region also serves as home to 85 boutique wineries specializing in small-lot, handmade wines that have garnered major awards at domestic and international wine competitions.
Lodi is naturally a leader in sustainable viticulture. Created by California farmers and accredited by world-renowned scientists, LODI RULES is America’s original sustainable winegrowing program. Held to a high standard of scientific rigor and excellence, the program emphasizes environmentally and socially responsible practices, while keeping economic feasibility in mind for long-term business success. Today, there are more than 70,000 acres certified throughout California, Washington, and Israel. For more information about the Lodi AVA or LODI RULES, visit lodiwine.com and lodirules.org.
