When I lived in Los Angeles I attended the Tre Bicchieri Tour to taste the most awarded Italian wines. When we moved to Las Vegas during Covid, wines were sent to me to taste, and for that tasting I invited some new Las Vegas wine people to taste along with me.
Fast forward to 2025, and I would be lucky to attend an in-person Tre Bicchieri tasting right here in Las Vegas with other friends in the industry – the first time the tour has come to Las Vegas! What a treat. This is how it went:
Joel’s Chop House in the Ahern Hotel was a great venue for the tasting. There were dozens of winery tables, spread out enough that there wasn’t any crowding. Tasting was at a leisurely pace, there was plenty of food and water, and master classes – with over a dozen wines at each – were offered throughout the day. I had some favorites, shown in my photos here, but there was no way I could taste everything offered. I enjoyed wines from many different wine regions making excellent Tre Bicchieri award-winning examples of Brut, Valdobbiadene, Pinot Bianco, Barolo, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, Pinot Nero, Nero d’Avola, Super Tuscan, Primitivo and much more.
Shout out to Mark Newman, the tour’s Wine Industry Advisor, that reached out to me early on to let me know they were coming to Las Vegas and to share the news with my fellow friends in the industry and press. And a shout out to all the organizers of the event, and of course all the editors that put together over 1,000 pages in the Gambero Rosso Italian Wines guide for 2025.

MASTERCLASSES
Gambero Rosso offered their prestigious masterclasses in Las Vegas. There were three highly anticipated and intimate classes offered led by the engaging Editor-In-Chief of the Vini D’Italia guide, Marco Sabellico.
Eve Bushman has a Level Two Intermediate Certification from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET), a “certification in the first globally-recognized course” as an American Wine Specialist ® from the North American Sommelier Association (NASA), Level 1 Sake Award from WSET, was the subject of a 60-minute Wine Immersion video (over 16k views), authored “Wine Etiquette for Everyone” and has served as a judge for the Proof Awards, Cellarmasters, LA Wine Competition, Long Beach Grand Cru and the Global Wine Awards.
