High Octane Lemonade? Let Me Have That!

At this year’s Bar and Restaurant Expo the first spirit I tried was my absolute favorite: High Octane Lemonade. One sip of this fresh lemonade, made with premium vodka and not with too low an ABV like the canned varieties, and I was sold. Fast forward a couple of months, and the brand reached out to me, knowing that after one of my social media posts from the event, I was a fan. We had a nice conversation, and next thing I knew, I was offered a bottle for review. Loved the chance to linger on that taste this time + share with a few spirit drinkers, here is my review.

Review

From the front and back of the 900 ml bottle, “Vodka with real juice and natural flavors. 15% alcohol/30 proof. Bottled for Greener Waters. Springville, UT.”

On its own: Noted light citrus with a noticeable Mandarin orange feel, and a bit of white pepper to give it some tickle to my nose.

On ice: Reminded me of Italian lemon ices I used to get in Brooklyn, New York as a kid, Hawaiian shaved ice on Kona after the Ironman races, snow cones with lemon and a little orange syrup, and an Old Fashioned lemon slush. All so delish.

Cocktail recipes using High Octane came with my sample, but I didn’t try them. They included adding Twisted Tea for an Arnold Palmer, whisky and cola in a cocktail called “Wide Open Whiskey, a Margarita with Reposado tequila and Margarita mix, and a “Lemonade Twist” with soda water and lime juice.

this is no history lesson

but we’re proud of where we’ve come from

25+ years ago after Mike was served a delicious drink at a party, he knew he had to bring that magic back. He perfected the recipe and started serving it at every weekend gathering. Soon “Mikey‘s Lemonade” became the highlight of every event, known for its irresistible taste, and that perfect kick.

As word spread and the lemonade became a local favorite, Mike and his wife, Janell decided it was time to take things to the next level. They went full throttle into production, teaming up with Brandin and Randee. Randee who had heard about the lemonade from the good old boating days from her childhood, finally got to give it a taste — She and Brandin were instantly hooked. Watching friends and family light up with every sip, they knew they were into something special.

Now, branded High Octane Lemonade, our purpose is all about balancing hard work with hard play. Our drink is perfect for anyone who loves motorsports, good times, and living life to the fullest.  So go ahead SIP IT, SHOOT IT, and SHARE IT with all those who have intoxicatingly good vibes.
