The Wine House is pleased to offer the WSET Level 1 Award in Sake course on Sunday March,19.
Instructed by Toshio Ueno, SSI WSET Certified Sake Educator, Certified Master Sake & Shochu Sommelier.
This course is ideal for consumers or those new to sake with the focus on:
Main sake ingredients
Main production steps
Principal categories and grades of sake
Speciality styles of sake
Controlled production steps
Japanese labelling terms
Storage and service
Common faults/How to taste Sake
Principles of food and sake pairing
Social and health issues
The class consists of a session of 6 hours that concludes with a short 30-question multiple-choice exam of 45 minutes. Successful candidates receive the internationally-recognized WSET® Level 1 Award in Sake.
The WSET L1 Award in Sake includes: 6 tuition hours by Master Sake Sommelier (SSI Japan) Toshio Ueno, printed study guide, tasting of 8 sakes, exam fee, certificate and lapel pin to successful candidates. Light sushi lunch is included.
PLEASE NOTE: SINCE THE EXAMS ARE ORDERED FROM LONDON, CANCELLATIONS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED UNTIL MARCH 1, 2017 AND ALL BOOKINGS BETWEEN MARCH 1, 2017 AND MARCH 19, 2017 ARE FINAL. THERE CAN BE NO REFUNDS AFTER THE STUDENT’S EXAM HAS BEEN ORDERED.
