Presented by BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® East
LUCKYRICE announced the launch of the first annual LUCKYRICE San Francisco Feast presented by BOMBAY SAPPHIRE East® to take place on Friday, September 6 from 7-10 pm PST at the Ferry Building. The San Francisco launch follows on the heels of the popular fourth-annual New York Festival (April 29 – May 5) and events in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Miami. This will be LUCKYRICE’s first festival in San Francisco and we are pleased to partner with San Francisco Magazine.
Tickets go on sale on July 3 at www.luckyrice.com with American Express pre-sale starting on Wednesday, June 26 and are $88 for general admission and $125 for VIP. (VIP access is from 7:00 -8:00pm and provides all-evening access to the VIP Chefs Lounge).
“We are excited to take on the challenge of bringing the festival to San Francisco, which is home to every conceivable type of Asian cuisine and culture, from high to low,” said LUCKYRICE Founder, Danielle Chang, who is also a Bay area native. “With San Francisco’s large Asian population, sophisticated dining culture and proximity to Asia, Asian food is everyday grub.
“Our festival’s expansion taps into America’s continued and heightened interest in Asian cuisine. Coupled with increasing travel and trade, the influence of Asia has resulted in a growing consumer awareness of the multitude of cultures and flavors of the region. By highlighting flavors from Taiwan to Thailand, the LUCKYRICE San Francisco Feast will allow guests to “eat their way around Asia without leaving the Bay area.”
“We are thrilled to have BOMBAY SAPPHIRE East Gin participate as the official spirit of LUCKYRICE’s debut in San Francisco this year, said Ned Duggan, Brand Managing Director, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE. “Paying homage to the subtle, yet exotic flavors of Asia infused with Thai Lemongrass and Vietnamese Black Peppercorns, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE East pairs perfectly with each imaginative Asian dish throughout the LUCKYRICE Feast.”
The LUCKYRICE SF Feast will combine the best of LUCKYRICE, including authentic night market street food, creative chef-driven dining and cocktails galore – all re-imagined through a locally global lens that spotlights SF’s exploding Asian food revolution.
Confirmed renown local chef participants include: James Syhabout (Hawker Fare), Wilfred Pacio (Spice Kit), Alexander Ong (Betelnut), Kathy Fang (House of Nanking), Sharon Nahm (E+O Asian Kitchen), Slanted Door, MICHAEL MINA, M.Y. China, Roka Akor, Hakkasan, Hopscotch Restaurant & Bar, American Bar Bao and more to be announced. LUCKYRICE invited chefs to reflect the diversity of Asian food experiences in San Francisco – whether iconic Chinatown favorites, celebrity-chef driven concepts or local interpretations of traditional dishes.
In addition, Iron Chef Morimoto, who has Morimoto Napa in California’s wine country, will be a special guest for the event.
LUCKYRICE will also bring 8 celebrated mixologists who will serve a total of 16 custom cocktails featuring BOMBAY SAPPHIRE East and other spirits. We will also be serving Asahi Beer, Wines from Bordeaux, Champagne Nicholas Feuillatte and Bruce Cost Ginger Ales.
