This is an idea I’ve been discussing for awhile with friends.
First it was because I couldn’t be at two places at one time. Two great events happened on the same night last year. Both with wine. And both benefiting a local charity. But one hit my calendar sooner.
Then it happened again.
I figured even people not writing about wine might be having similar problems.
Every wine venue may have a website and it may include events. But they wouldn’t be posting more than their own events.
The first SCV wine calendar, with wine themed events both big and small, should be in one place. My place.
Take a peak at the top right column of this page. So far I have listed events from wine friends that have sent me their calendars. If you want to add an event either comment on this blog or e-mail me at email@example.com. It’s free.
I still need non-profits, not usually in the loop for wine events, to send me their big event dates…if they are planning on serving wine.
So spread the word to our SCV wine drinkers!
And then we can hook up! Either at one of Sommelier DiMaggio Washington’s wine education classes, Valencia Wine Company, Salt Creek Grille, Vino 100, a Raven Oaks pouring with John Kelley, the Betty Ferguson Foundation’s annual Vine 2 Wine, All Corked Up, a Grape Crusader wine tasting, Stevenson Ranch’s Art & Wine Gala, SCV Wine Classic, and not or, the LA Wine Fest.
