Luc Carl Cocktail Recipes from The Drunk Diet
Besides wine, Rum and Diet Coke and Vodka Martinis, Luc Carl, the author of the Drunk Diet, has these recipes for dieters that drink (each recipe is for one serving)
Carbohydrate-Free Vodka Soda “Half Drink”
2-count vodka, (whiskey or tequila)
Two drinks worth of soda water (double shot if ordering at a bar) in pint glass.
Juice of a “couple of limes” and lemon.
4-count tomato juice
splash pickle juice
4-splash regular Tabasco
Dash of salt
Dash of black pepper
1 pickled pepperoncini pepper
Shake all ingredients in a shaker plus ice, serve in highball glass with a pickle spear or three green olives.
2-count soda water (not tonic water)
2-count orange juice
4 lemon wedges
4 lime wedges
Shake tequila, water and OJ with ice in shaker. Squeeze in fruit juices and then add in he rinds and shake again (Luc suggests 18 times). Use a strainer and pour drink over ice.
A note on the “count” method: Luc writes, “1, 2, 3, 4, get your woman on the floor.” I leave that up to you to define.
Luc says skip Beers, Mai Tais, Pina Coladas, Long Island Ice Teas and Margaritas.
