We are extremely pleased to announce that Eve Bushman will be joining The Beacon as a columnist starting this week. Eve has been writing about wine, books, non-profit news, valley events and other topics for years and has been in various local publications. She will have her weekly column on Friday’s as well as breaking stories occasionally as they arise.
We hope that you will enjoy this latest edition to the West Ranch Beacon and look forward to your continued readership. Although 2009 is starting out a bit rough on the economic front know that The Beacon will continue to bring you News, Information, and Commentary for our Santa Clarita Valley community daily and always for FREE on the Web.

I’m so happy that Eve has a forum! Without all her wine event information being passed around the past year in the newspaper, I don’t know how so many charity events and wine purveyors would have been as successful. Eve has always been a friend to us at Assistance League. Eve gave our “Sunset in the Vineyard” wine event enough preview that we sold over 300 tickets without having a single sponsor.Thanks for getting her on board.
