Vintage Beacon Circa 6/10: Keep Smiling with Jennifer Gerard

Today Beacon readers get an answer, via Jennifer Gerard from Whitening on Wheels*, to the age-old question: Can I enjoy my red wine and keep my pearlie whites?

But of course you can. I don’t advocate changing your habits – they keep me in business!

JenPhotoTell us about yourself and about your company Whitening on Wheels*:

I’m Jennifer and I am the owner of Whitening on Wheels Valencia. My family moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 1979 so I have really watched this valley grow. I opened my business earlier this year and do my best to offer the most relaxed, inexpensive, and pain free process to be found. Our customers are my #1 focus.

My wine friends complain about red wine stains, does your process remove them? (And, Jennifer, Is there a price deal for my wine friends?)

Yes, our process will remove stains caused by wine among other things. The expected result is 4-6 shades of whitening. We have special monthly membership prices…which also includes all of your maintenance products.

Do red wine drinkers have to abstain for a few days before or after your process?

For a minimum of 12 hours (24 is better) you should steer clear of red wine, coffee, tea, chocolate, fruit juices and colored sauces.  After that, you can indulge in all your favorite wines.

Please tell me that we don’t have avoid red wine all together.

Of course not!!! That’s what you have me for!

Do you drink red wine?

I have never learned about wine and don’t really drink it (unless you call “downing” a bottle of Boone’s Farm in the back seat of my friend’s Pinto on the way to Magic Mountain in high school drinking wine.) I’m hoping I can learn more from all of you at the next Grape of the Night!

Keep Smiling!

Jennifer Gerard
