Chef 101 Humpday Recipe: Lemoncello Martini Sans Sugar-Sweetness

I don’t do sweet.  Now and then I may have a port, or dessert wine, or even a sparkling wine with strawberries.  But my palate doesn’t do sugary sweet cocktails.  This recipe, is in accordance with that, and for all other adults that are like-minded.

I’m also a purist, or at least I’m striving to be.

I believe all of the hype that Limoncello should be from Italy, and with that, it should be from the Villa Massa Limoncello company.  (Full disclosure: NO they didn’t send me a bottle but they SHOULD.)

So this is it.  I had the brand when we were in Italy two years ago, enjoy sipping it, but wanted more.

So when I Googled martinis, using Limoncello, most called for simple syrup.

I left that out.  But of course.
