Alberto Blends Three Perfect Cocktails that Celebrate the Autumn Season in the Santa Ynez Valley
Alberto Battaglini, the acclaimed mixologist at S.Y. Kitchen, presents four new fall cocktails inspired by the Indian Summers that take place in the Santa Ynez Valley, mixing the best local seasonal produce with some of the finest spirits. In addition to the restaurant’s list of specialty drinks, Battaglini offers these dazzling new cocktails – Pomegranate & Basil; Apple & Mint and The Tiramisu Martini. All new fall cocktails are prepared with premium spirits, Alberto’s house-made tinctures and are priced at $14.
A native of Verona and schoolmate of Chef Luca Crestanelli, Alberto Battaglini learned the fundamentals of cooking and food service at Scuola Alberghiera in Italy. His unbridled passion for spirits took him to London where he met his mentor, Ian Slater. Following work in Spain and Mexico, Alberto settled in the Santa Ynez Valley to lead the bar program at S.Y. Kitchen. At S.Y. Kitchen, Battaglini’s hand-crafted drinks are a stunning complement to the cuisine of Chef Crestanelli.

ABOUT S.Y. KITCHEN:
Owners Kathie and Mike Gordon along with their partner Executive Chef Luca Crestanelli, Sous Chef Francesco Crestanelli, Wine Director Emily Johnston and Bar Manager and Mixologist Alberto Battaglini, bring warmth and style and exquisite food and beverages to the Santa Ynez Valley restaurant they opened in April 2013.
With a degree in Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts, Chef Luca Crestanelli found his passion and refined his technique during his world travels. He discovered ingredients, recipes, and methods of cooking varied from each little town or village within a country, as each region honored age-old traditions. Over time he developed his own distinctive style, creating an enriched, authentic local culinary experience that honors traditional Italian cuisine.
