The Kentucky Bourbon Festival Board of Directors announced the election of Cordell Lawrence to the chairman position beginning with the 2024 festival, according president and COO Randy Prasse.
Lawrence recently announced his new position as CEO of Eastern Light Distilling, a new venture coming to Morehead, Ky. He is well-known for his time at Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co., where he served as chief operating officer, with additional experience with iconic brands like Jack Daniels and Southern Comfort. His industry experience and love of the state make him an excellent leader to continue the growth of the Kentucky Bourbon Festival.
“I look forward to helping the festival achieve its mission and continue its impressive transformation,” Lawrence said.
Outgoing board chair David Mandell noted Lawrence has “the vision, expertise and experience to help the festival continue to evolve and grow.”
