140+ Wineries Are Set to Host Individual Events October 17 – 19, 2014 in Wine Enthusiast’s Wine Region of the Year

Harvest in Paso Robles Wine Country is a time of excitement and anticipation shared by winemakers, growers, and tasting room staff alike. It is the culmination of a successful year of hard work and dedication to their craft, and is a glimpse into the promise of the new vintage. Harvest Wine Weekend 2014 celebrates the new vintage with more than 140 Paso Robles wineries inviting wine lovers to their tasting rooms, vineyards and wineries for tours, special tastings, live music, winemaker dinners and much more. Wine enthusiasts are invited to plan their perfect wine country weekend getaway October 17 – 19, 2014 in Paso Robles Wine Country.

image001Wineries get creative during this annual celebration, bringing new and different activities, educational opportunities and hands-on fun for Harvest Wine Weekend. Harvest festivities include wine and bacon pairings, ceremonial grape stomps, lobster feeds, wine-infused dessert offerings, and blending sessions, to name a few.

”With harvest likely starting a little early this year, Harvest Wine Weekend cannot come soon enough,” said Joe Barton, grower and winemaker of Grey Wolf & Barton Family Wines. “This event serves as a break in harvest for us to celebrate the new vintage with all our visitors who quite literally appreciate the fruits of our labor.”

Harvest Wine Weekend does not require a ticket, however some of the wineries may require RSVP’s or have fees associated with their individual events, so be sure to plan ahead.
